Dr. Lavigne is a board certified dermatologist with advanced fellowship training specializing in skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery. Raised primarily in Tennessee, she completed her undergraduate studies in English and Natural Science through the University Scholars Program at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. She received her medical degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed both an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, having the honor of serving as co-chief resident. 

 Subsequently, she completed a fellowship in Procedural Dermatology/Mohs Micrographic Skin Cancer Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA under the direction of Dr. Algin Garrett, M.D.


She is board certified in Dermatology and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Maine Dermatologic Society as well as the Women’s Dermatologic Society.


Dr. Lavigne practiced for two years with Dermatology Associates in Portland & Biddeford prior to founding the Department of Dermatology and Mohs Surgery at Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital in 2015, where she served until early 2018. 


Dr. Lavigne takes great pride in providing excellent general dermatology patient care in addition to the treatment of skin cancer with a focus on achieving superior cosmetic outcomes.


Camden Dermatology & Mohs Surgery was founded from a desire provide superior dermatology care  for residents of mid-coast Maine as well as increase access to care over time through the aggressive recruitment of additional board certified dermatologists.   


The mission of Camden Dermatology & Mohs Surgery is to provide the highest quality medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care to patients of all ages.  The three central tenets to this standard are: compassion, ethical integrity and putting patients first.


Dr. Lavigne resides in Camden, with her husband Rick, a native Mainer and their two boys along with a beautiful adopted Lab/Husky rescue, Ella and our very energetic second Lab/Husky rescue Connor.
