Care Team Approach

There is little that can be accomplished without the support of others, and this holds true in medicine as well. With new technologies as well as quality benchmark measures, physicians are more pressured than ever to accomplish an expanding series of tasks within a single office visit. Sometimes, this makes the patient feel less important or even neglected.

At Camden Dermatology & Mohs Surgery, we want patients to have a superior experience. Within our practice, we utilize one of the most advanced dermatology-specific electronic medical records available, but we are choosing to go a step further by adopting a "care-team model."

Our clinical care team includes:

  • caring medical assistants
  • experienced, dermatology trained physician assistants
  • Board certified Dermatologists

Dr. Lavigne has adopted this "care-team approach" with two goals in mind:

  1. maintain excellent patient care
  2. improve access to services

As with any aspect of our practice,  we welcome your feedback about this novel approach.

Q: "What should I do if I have a spot I am concerned about, and there is not a timely appointment with the physician or provider I usually see?"

A: We will always do our very best to get established patients in as soon as possible especially when she or he has a lesion or an urgent concern.  There are times unfortunately when we are unable due to scheduling constrictions or when a physician or PA is away that it may be necessary to have patients seen by an alternate dermatologist or physician assistant.

Please be reassured that your primary dermatology provider is not changing.

We simply want to make sure everyone is taken care of in the most timely way.
